1. I need a haircut. Any ideas? I was thinking of actually going shoulder-length for the first time since college. I can't handle blow-drying out this mess anymore.
2. We watched the season finale of Dexter first thing upon returning to Alaska on Christmas Eve (priorities, priorities).
I don't care if Deb is a Xanax addict. I love her. I'm unflinchingly loyal. This girl needs an Emmy. And I'll take one of those sparkly dresses too, please.

3. I posted vacation pictures yesterday. Did you check it out?
4. I made this soup for dinner on Christmas. Scott has decided that I cook better than restaurants often do (he said it, not me..I swear). When we go out to eat, we're often disappointed. Plus, you never know what's in the food at restaurants.
You need to make this soup. It freezes really well. You could also leave out the chicken, a' la vegetarian style.
5. I wanted a Longchamp for my birthday. Then, I read that they have no cell phone pocket on the inside. Is this true? I need a cell phone pocket. And now I don't know what to ask for concerning my birthday.
In short, I went on vacation and now I'm whining about hair and purses. If you have suggestions, let me know. Speak up so I can hear you over the sound of my tiny, whiny violin.

I don't know what you should do with your hair but the Longchamp does have cell phone pockets, depending on which you select. You should probably get one for your birthday. Thanks for giving me another purse brand to drool over. I never knew how badly I needed this purse until today. Esther Norine Designs
Go shoulder length! I'm biased because that's the length of my hair, but it is a heck of a lot easier to manage!

Are these primarily east coast treasures? Things like Longchamps and those rubber boots...what are they called again? It's just that I've never even heard of them, living over here...and I don't know a single person in AK or WA who owns either of these items...!

I have the big longchamp purse and I love it. Ive had it for 5 years and carry it all the time and it is in perfect shape (you can even through them in the wash!). Mine has a small pocket at the top where I throw my cell, wallet and chapstick. You should go for it!

Mine has a cell pocket. I think it just depends on which one you get. Cut off your hair! You would look great with shoulder length!

It's not whining...it's called coming back from vacation and meeting the real world again. Never too fun. haha. I think short hair would be cute! I hate messing with my own hair too.
I went on a whim yesterday and cut over 4 inches....to collarbone which is short for me, but I do like it! I say go for it, worst case scenario it will grow back ;). What a great compliment from Scott!
